Still Pushing Forward : Fundraising,Faith&The Road to September Trip !
At the 7 Blessings Project Foundation, we’ve been working tirelessly to raise funds for our next big trip to Bagungi, Congo, Kinshasa, DRC this September – and every step has been powered by love, determination, and community support.
From braiding hair and cooking meals, to hosting garage sales under the hot sun, our small but mighty team has been doing everything we can to fund this important journey. But we’re not there yet.
We still urgently need extra funds to help cover critical needs for this upcoming trip:
Extra luggage fees so we can bring more vital items to the village ($225 per bag)
Continued construction of the Big House, which will provide a safe haven for the most vulnerable. This includes:
Building two bathrooms with showers
Installation of two toilets
Two large water containers for storing clean water
Two smaller water containers for toilet use and handwashing
Two water scoops for daily use and hygiene
Raising money for more solar panels, batteries, converters, and electrician costs to power the clinic, store, and freezers for food storage
Purchasing a fridge for the shop and a smaller fridge for the pharmacy to keep food and medicine properly cooled
Baby food, baby cereal, powdered formula, bum cream, and baby vitamins
Children’s Tylenol, Advil, and multivitamins
Adult fever and pain medicine
Toothbrushes, toothpaste, and hygiene essentials
Wound care supplies, antibiotics, and other life-saving medical items for our clinic and pharmacy
Blankets, shoes, and clothing for children, widows, and families
Stocking the pharmacy with much-needed medications and supplies
We are also seeking in-kind donations of the following:
Unlocked second-hand cellphones
Laptops, tablets, or computers
Gently used blankets and towels
Children’s and adult shoes
School supplies, backpacks, and notebooks
Clothing of all sizes (especially for children)
Reusable cloth diapers and hygiene items
Children’s socks and underwear
Youth socks and underwear
We’ve made strong progress, but there’s still a long way to go. With your support, we can keep building, keep serving, and keep showing up for the people of Bagungi. Every donation—big or small—brings us one step closer to a healthier, safer future for this community.
