Healing Can’t Wait: Why FinishingThe Clinic In Bagungi This September Is Critical!
In the heart of Bagungi, Congo, Kinshasa, hope is being built—brick by brick, wall by wall. Our 7 Blessings Project Foundation medical clinic is nearly complete, but we are facing a critical deadline. This September, we need to finish construction and equip the space so that real healing can begin. The need is urgent, and lives are hanging in the balance.
Right now, a woman in the village is battling sepsis in her leg—a life-threatening infection that is rapidly spreading through her body. Without access to proper medical care and antibiotics, her life is at risk. This is not an isolated case.
Babies and children are falling ill with fevers caused by malaria, melatonin overdoses, and other preventable or treatable illnesses. The village has no permanent medical facility and no consistent access to life-saving medication or care. What would be a simple treatment in another part of the world becomes a dangerous situation in Bagungi.
Our clinic is not just a building—it’s a lifeline.
It will serve as a safe space for:
Emergency care
Basic wound cleaning
Malaria treatment
Fever and infection management
Maternal and newborn care
Chronic condition monitoring
And education on topics like dental hygiene, to prevent infections before they start
We’ve seen the dangers of untreated tooth decay and poor oral care—pain, abscesses, and in extreme cases, deadly infections. Through the clinic, we can begin promoting daily hygiene habits, distributing toothbrushes and toothpaste, and teaching families how to protect their health long term.
But to make this clinic operational, we still urgently need more solar panels, batteries, and a converter to power the building. Without electricity, we can’t run lights, medical equipment, or refrigeration for medications. In a region without access to stable power, solar energy is our only option—and it’s not yet complete.
This September, our team is returning to Bagungi with one goal: complete and activate the clinic. We need to pour the floors, install doors, bring in medications and gear, and finalize the solar setup that will keep everything running.
We are close—but we can’t do this alone.
If you’ve been waiting for the right time to give or get involved, this is it. Every dollar, every supply, every prayer makes a difference. Help us bring healing, education, and emergency care to those who need it most.
Because healing can’t wait.

A Joyful Day In Bagungi: Papa Fontaine’s Birthday With The Village Team !
The sound of music and laughter carried through the air in Bagungi as the workers gathered to celebrate someone very special—Papa Fontaine, the village supervisor and a guiding force behind so much of the progress happening on the ground.
This birthday wasn’t marked with fancy gifts or decorations—it was marked with song, dance, laughter, and the simple joy of being together. The team who works daily to build, plant, and care for the village came together to celebrate the man who supports and leads them every step of the way.
There was cheering, singing, dancing, and joyful noise. The celebration was full of life. Smiles were wide, voices were loud, and feet couldn’t help but move to the beat. These moments of connection are powerful reminders of the strength and spirit of this team.
Papa Fontaine is more than just a supervisor—he’s a mentor and friend to many of the workers. His steady presence, dedication, and heart for the people are felt daily. This small gathering was their way of showing love and appreciation.
Even without a big party or cake, the joy was unforgettable. It was a moment of unity and gratitude—a time to pause and simply enjoy being together.
At the 7 Blessings Project Foundation, these are the moments we cherish. Real leadership. Real joy. Real community.
Happy Birthday, Papa Fontaine! You are a blessing to the workers and to all of us.

Walking for a cause : Our 10KM Cleanup Journey!
This past weekend, our team laced up our shoes, rolled up our sleeves, and hit the highway for a cause that’s close to our hearts. As part of our fundraising efforts for the 7 Blessings Project Foundation, we took on a 10KM highway cleanup—and it was no small task.
We were up at 5:30 AM, grabbing the last-minute ice to keep our drinks cold, loading the cooler, and rallying the team. Although we had planned for a larger group, a few members had to drop out due to illness. That left just six determined volunteers to take on the challenge.
From 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, we walked, picked, hauled, and sweated under the sun. The weather threw everything at us—hot temperatures, strong winds, and not a single patch of shade in sight. By the time we were done, we had filled 120 bags of garbage, collected several large discarded items, and gained a whole new appreciation for the work it takes to keep our roadsides clean.
Throughout the day, we were encouraged by the many cars, big trucks, and motorcyclists who honked, waved, and cheered us on. It was a powerful reminder that kindness and community support come in many forms—even a quick honk or wave can keep spirits high when legs are tired and the sun is relentless.
This walk also gave us a new perspective. It mirrored the long distances that many of our team members and families in Bagungi walk—sometimes just to reach the city of Kinshasa for food, medical care, or supplies. We walked for a day. They walk for survival.
Our legs and feet were aching, sunburns were real, and the blisters—well, they told a story of their own. But when we finally saw that bridge where it all began, we couldn’t help but cheer. It was a long, tough day, but the reward was more than worth it.
Every step we took raised awareness and support for our mission in Bagungi, Congo, Kinshasa, DRC, where we’re building a future full of hope, clean water, solar energy, and medical care for vulnerable children and families.
We’re grateful for every person who cheered us on, supported our work, and believed in the power of community effort.
Thank you for helping us walk the walk—literally.

Drowning In Silence: The Untold Struggle In Kinshasa’s Flooded Streets:
The waters rose fast.
In the communities of Limete, Masina, Matete, and Debonhom in Kinshasa, people barely had time to react before the floodwaters overtook them. But this isn’t just a story about a storm—it’s a story about survival, heartbreak, and resilience in the face of unimaginable loss.
Entire streets are underwater. Homes built with bare hands and meager resources have been destroyed. Families who had little to begin with are now left with nothing. In neighborhoods where poverty already stretched people to their limits, the floods have pushed them beyond.
Our team in Congo sent us photos and updates that are hard to look at—but impossible to ignore. People are wading through filthy water, carrying one another through the flooded streets. Others are stranded on the tops of submerged cars, or clinging to the roofs of fragile shanties, doing whatever they can to stay dry and keep their children safe.
Traditional wooden boats, usually used for fishing or river travel, have become emergency vessels—used not for business or ceremony, but for rescue. People are doing everything they can to help each other, even with so little to give.
And still, the danger is not over.
The water is filled with faecal matter and debris. Sanitation systems have collapsed. Drinking water is contaminated. With every passing hour, the risk of deadly disease—cholera, typhoid, diarrhea, malaria—grows. Food is scarce. Homes are gone. Health services are overwhelmed. Mass hunger and illness are now on the horizon.I
We cannot turn away.
The 7 Blessings Project Foundation is calling on everyone—anyone—to stand with our brothers and sisters in Kinshasa during this crisis. We are working directly with local teams to bring relief: clean water, emergency food, medicine, clothing, and support to displaced families.
Every donation—no matter the amount—goes directly toward urgent needs on the ground.

Marching Forward: Food, Fundraisers & Foundation Progress

Behind The Scenes:2024 Fundraising Rewind ! The heart, hustle , and a whole lot of love ..
If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of grassroots fundraising—this is it. It’s real, raw, chaotic, beautiful, and absolutely full of heart. Here’s a look back at our 2024 fundraising journey for the 7 Blessings Project Foundation.
We didn’t have a huge team or a corporate sponsor. What we had was passion, community, and pure determination. We raised funds in every way imaginable—from garage sales and bottle drives to catering meals and Nathalie doing hair—each effort infused with love and purpose.
We had big umbrellas set up to block the sun (or so we thought), but they often had minds of their own—blowing over in the wind, along with our racks of clothing that took off like they had somewhere to be! The wind didn’t stop us, though. We laughed, chased down price tags, and kept on going.
One of our favorite memories? The sucker pull game we set up for the kids. Just $1 a pull for a chance to win a prize—and the excitement on their faces was worth every second of planning. It brought families in, gave kids something to smile about, and reminded us that fundraising can be fun and joyful too.
And let’s not forget the late-night packing sessions. We were sorting piles of clothing, shoes, underwear, and medical supplies, labeling and loading boxes until we could hardly keep our eyes open. Both of our houses were exploding with donations—every room filled to the brim, pathways barely clear. At one point, we were stuffing the SUV so full we had to hold the door just to close it.
We were sunburned, exhausted, and running on love and determination—but it was all worth it. Every dollar raised brought us closer to supporting the people of Bagungi, Congo, Kinshasa, DRC in tangible, life-changing ways.
This is what real grassroots effort looks like. And if you were part of it—whether you donated, volunteered, bought a meal, booked a hair appointment, pulled a sucker, or simply cheered us on—thank you.
You helped make this possible.
Now, we’re heading into 2025 with bigger dreams and open hearts.

A New Chapter In Care: One Step Closer To Completion!

Restocking Hope: A Shopping Trip To Keep The Village Store Thriving!
Every trip to Kinshasa for supplies is more than just a shopping trip—it’s a mission to keep our village store stocked with the essentials that serve Bagungi and the surrounding communities. On this recent trip, the boys worked hard to gather the necessary items to refill the shelves and freezers, ensuring that families have access to much-needed food and household staples.
With a well-thought-out list, they picked up powdered milk, matches, pop, coffee, chicken backs, fish, gum balls, cheese puffs, cookies, and a variety of other goods. Each item is carefully chosen to meet the needs of the people we serve, providing both nutrition and small comforts that bring joy to daily life.
Once back at the store, Ezekiel, our dedicated store employee, took the time to carefully break apart all the fish and repackage them into smaller portions, making it easier for families to purchase what they need without having to buy in bulk. The freezers were restocked, the shelves were filled, and the store was once again ready to serve the community.
This store is more than just a place to buy food—it’s a vital part of life in the village. It creates access to essential items, supports local families, and ensures that even those in the most remote areas can find what they need. With each restock, we’re reminded of the importance of this project and the impact it has on daily life.
As we continue to grow and improve, we remain committed to expanding the store’s reach. In the future, we hope to invest in a quad or motorcycle to transport goods to surrounding villages, making these essential supplies even more accessible.
Every trip, every restock, and every sale is another step toward a stronger, more sustainable future for Bagungi. Thank you to everyone who supports this initiative—your generosity helps keep this store running and serving those who need it most!

A Family in Need: How 7 Blessings Stepped In.
A Family in Need: How 7 Blessings Stepped In
Last Thursday, February 13, Mama Nathalie and Papa Jordan received an urgent call about a family in desperate need soon to be a family of six. Mama Ortance was severely ill and weak, and her condition was worsening. Without hesitation, they jumped into the truck and traveled to a nearby village, guided to where the family was staying.
When they arrived, they found living conditions that were heartbreaking. The family had no food, and there was no clean water to drink. Their metal house was poorly built, offering little protection from the elements. When it rained, water leaked through, leaving the family cold at night. The children had no proper clothing just torn outfits and flip-flops that did not fit. Without a stable income, the father had been searching for work, but even when he found jobs, employers often refused to pay him. With no money, the children couldn’t attend school and could only eat when there was a little food to share.
Seeing Mama Ortance condition, it was clear she needed immediate medical attention. 7 Blessings quickly transported her to a hospital in the city, covering the cost of her treatment. Doctors determined that her weakness was due to severe malnutrition, and she was given IV fluids to regain strength. She will also need an ultrasound next week to check on the baby health.
Despite the struggles they face, this family remains strong. 7 Blessings has stepped in to provide support, ensuring Mama Ortance gets the care she needs while working toward helping the family get food, clothing, and a stable home. This is why the work we do is so important bring hope where it’s s needed most.
If you d like to help families like Mama Ortance, consider donating to the 7 Blessings Project Foundation. Every contribution makes a difference in providing food, medical care, and shelter to those in need.

Supporting Our Widows With Care And Compassion:

The Mama Kona Story
Rescuing Mama Kona: A Story of Hope and Compassion
On February 10, our team at the 7 Blessings Project Foundation received a heartbreaking alert
about Mama Kona,
a vulnerable widow who had been cast out by her family. She was found in dire conditions-soaked
from the rain, weak from
hunger and thirst, and sleeping on the cold ground with no shelter.
Upon arriving at the scene, our team was met with a sight that was difficult to bear. Mama Kona was
frail, dirty, and
barely able to move. Without hesitation, we transported her back to the village, where she was
immediately given warm
clothes, nourishing food, and a safe place to sleep. As she was cleaned and cared for, we could see
the relief and
gratitude in her eyes-simple acts of kindness were already making a profound difference.
In the days since her rescue, Mama Kona has regained her strength and spirit. She is deeply
thankful for the intervention
that saved her from hunger and the harsh weather. Her story is a reminder of the many vulnerable
individuals in need of
support and the power of community-driven action to bring hope where it is needed most.
At 7 Blessings Project Foundation, we remain committed to helping those who have been
abandoned, forgotten, or left
without resources. Mama Kona's journey is not over, and we are working to find a long-term solution
for her well-being.
Her story is one of resilience, but also one that highlights the urgent need for continued support. If
you would like to
be part of this mission, consider contributing to our efforts-whether through donations, volunteering,
or simply spreading
the word. Together, we can bring hope and healing to many more lives.
Stay connected with us for updates on Mama Kona's journey and the many others we strive to help
every day.
