A Family in Need: How 7 Blessings Stepped In.

Last Thursday, February 13, Mama Nathalie and Papa Jordan received an urgent call about a family in desperate need soon to be a family of six. Mama Ortance was severely ill and weak, and her condition was worsening. Without hesitation, they jumped into the truck and traveled to a nearby village, guided to where the family was staying.

When they arrived, they found living conditions that were heartbreaking. The family had no food, and there was no clean water to drink. Their metal house was poorly built, offering little protection from the elements. When it rained, water leaked through, leaving the family cold at night. The children had no proper clothing just torn outfits and flip-flops that did not fit. Without a stable income, the father had been searching for work, but even when he found jobs, employers often refused to pay him. With no money, the children couldn’t attend school and could only eat when there was a little food to share.

Seeing Mama Ortance condition, it was clear she needed immediate medical attention. 7 Blessings quickly transported her to a hospital in the city, covering the cost of her treatment. Doctors determined that her weakness was due to severe malnutrition, and she was given IV fluids to regain strength. She will also need an ultrasound next week to check on the baby health.

Despite the struggles they face, this family remains strong. 7 Blessings has stepped in to provide support, ensuring Mama Ortance gets the care she needs while working toward helping the family get food, clothing, and a stable home. This is why the work we do is so important bring hope where it’s s needed most.

If you d like to help families like Mama Ortance, consider donating to the 7 Blessings Project Foundation. Every contribution makes a difference in providing food, medical care, and shelter to those in need.
